What will be the remainder, when

p(x) = x3 - 3x2 + 4x + 5 is divided by g (x) = 4x + 5?​

You needn't to divide.

Remainder theorem is used in this situation, without quotient, only remainder is found.

The value that makes 4x+5=0 is x=-5/4

Put that value into p(x) to find remainder

p(-\frac{5}{4} )

-\frac{125}{8} -\frac{75}{4} -5+5

-\frac{275}{8}

So, the remainder is negative 275 over 8
