Answer:

By the remainder theorem we know that if p(x)i is divided by g(x) = x+2 then the remainder will be p(-2)

therefore,

p(-2) = (-2)^2+ 4(-2)+2 = 4-8+2= -4+2= -2

hence the remainder is -2
