what will be the resistance if diameter is doubled keeping length and material same . please don't answer follish answer

Resistance is directly proportional to the length of the conductor and inversely proportional to area.

If diameter is doubled, then radius also becomes doubled. Hence area increases by twice.

=> Resistance is directly proportional to 1 / area.

=> If area is doubled, Resistance gets reduced by 1 / 2.

Hence the resistance will be half of the original resistance as the area gets doubled due to doubled diameter.
