Answer:

the resistance of a conductor at 0° C = 4 Ω

Explanation:

What will be the resistance of a conductor at 00 C if  the resistance

of the same conductor is 5 ohms at 500C and 6  ohms at 1000 C?

Rt  = R₀ ( 1 + αT)

R₀ = Resistance at 0°C

R₅₀₀ = R₀ ( 1 + α500)

R₁₀₀₀ = R₀ ( 1 + α1000)

=> 6/5  = (1 + α1000)/(1 + α500)

=> 6 + 3000α = 5 + 5000α

=> 2000α = 1

=> 1000α = 0.5

R₁₀₀₀ = R₀ ( 1 + α1000)

6 = R₀(1 + 0.5)

=> 6 = R₀(1.5)

=> R₀ = 4

the resistance of a conductor at 0° C = 4 Ω
