What will be the resistivity of a wire if its length is doubled and area of cross section is halved ? And are?

Resistivity is a characteristic of an element...

It does not depend upon factors like length and area of cross section.....

So, resistivity remains same, it's a constant value....... It is resistance that changes....

      However, since the same wire is stretched, I guess that the resistivity remains the same because the material remains the same,                                      however long may you stretch it, or cut it short.
