If the learning takes place through a software or internet then the study material must be effective , so teachers would play the role of preparing those materials ....

Though the scientific & technological development has taken over d world (& education field) , I don't think our country (India) is prepared to adapt to the change . Don't get me wrong but the present school system is very effective & really helpful for students. Teachers play a very important role in shaping them.
If by chance this system is changed to what is mentioned above then whatever d student learns & also the way he does(i.e explanation, examples & other stuff) plays a very imp role in teaching him.
(This is just like I said in d previous para..)
so if we assume d study material to be d teacher ( hypothetically) , then the one who prepared them has to be given d credit & obviously only a good teacher can do that. So teachers instead of teaching would do d same in videos, notes,etc...
Their role really doesn't change , they actually do d same work but d environment is different.
So , I don't think the new environment will be effective...
