What will be the sum of p & √q? (Where pis non-zero positive integer)

It will give a irrational number if q is not a square number, because we know that when there is a sum of a rational number and irrational number the answer will be irrational as well.Here if q is a square number then its square root will be rational so the answer would be a rational number..
