Step-by-step explanation:Each face of a cube is a square.

Let the side of the square face =a cm

Perimeter of the square =4a=24 cm =>a=6 cm

Total surface area of a cube of edge a =6a

Given :

  • Area of one face of cube = 4 cm

To find :

  • Total surface area of cube?

Solution :

☯ Let sides of cube be x cm.

We know that,

  • Each faces of cube is square.

According to the Question:

  • Area of one face = Area of square

And, We know that,

Area of square = Side × Side

→ x × x = 4

→ x² = 4

→ x = √4

→ x = 2 cm

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Now, Calculating TSA of cube,

TSA of cube = 6 × (side)²

Here,

  • side = 2 cm

Therefore,

→ 6 × (2)²

→ 6 × 4

24 cm²

Hence, Total surface area of cube is 24 cm².
