What will be the unit digit of the squares of the following numbers?

(i) 81

(ii) 272

(iii) 799​

(i) The number 81 contains its unit’s place digit 1. So, the square of 1 is 1. Hence, the unit’s digit of square of 81 is 1.

It is simple just find square of last digit of number to find unit digit

In 81 = Unit digit is 1

SO, square of 1 is 1

Answer (i) = 1

In 272 unit digit is 2.

So, square of 2 is 4

Answer (ii) = 4

In 799 unit digit is 9.

Square of 9 is 81

So, here answer will be 1 which is on unit place
