There are three types of coefficient of expansions

1) Coefficient of linear expansion (α)

2) Coefficient of superficial (or) areal expansion (β)

3) Coefficient of cubical expansion (\gamma)

Given,

coefficient of linear expansion of solid,  α = (2*10^{-5} )K^{-1}

We know that relation between α & β as

β = 2α

⇒ β = 2*(2*10^{-5})

⇒ β = (4*10^{-5}) K^{-1}

∴ Coefficient of superficial expansion β = (4*10^{-5})K^{-1}

But in the given options there is no option matching with the answer. Please do the option once.
