Explanation:

In case of flaccid cell, the turgor pressure becomes zero. There is no pressure exerted by the protoplast on the cell wall so the pressure potential of the cell will be zero. A cell at zero turgor has an osmotic potential equal to its water potential. Therefore, the water potential of the flaccid cell is 25 bars.

Water potential value for a flaccid cell

Explanation:

  • osmotic pressure is the pressure required to prevent from higher region of concentration of solute to  lower region is called osmotic pressure.
  • Turgor pressure is actually pressure potential . Since the cell is in flaccid state Turgor pressure will be zero. When the cell is plasmolysed ( water has been drawn outta it ) , Then the turgor pressure or pressure potential is negative .
  • Moving on to turgid cell , the value of turgor pressure is the highest n is equal to the OP or Osmotic potential.
  • Hence , the value of water potential is also 25 bars.
