What will be the value of ‘ x’ in Pythagorean triplet (41,9,x)? Please give brief explanation using {2m, m²+1,m²-1}.......

Hypotenuse² = Altitude² + Base²

Hyp² = Alt² + Base²

We should put 41 as the Hypotenuse as it is the biggest number....

41² = 9² + x²

We should find the square of the numbers....

41 x 41 = 9 x 9 + x²

1681 = 81 +x²

x² = 1681-81

x² = 1600

x^{2} = \sqrt[2]{1600}

x = 2² x 2² x 2² x 5²

x= 2 x 2 x 2 x 5

∴ x = 40
