Answer:

Given:

R = 100 Ω,

r = 20 Ω,

E = 2 V

To find: Reading of voltmeter (V)

Formula: V = E - Ir

Calculation: Current through the circuit is given by

I=R+rE=100+202=1202

I=601A

From formula,

V=2−(601×20)=2−0.3333

∴ V = 1.667 V

The reading on the voltmeter is 1.667 V

  • R = 250Ω
  • r = 12Ω
  • E.M.F = 2 V

∴ I = \large\frac{E}{R+r}

⟹ I = \large\frac{2}{250+12}

⟹ I = \large\frac{2}{262}

⟹ I = \large\frac{1}{121}A

V = 2 - (\large\frac{1}{121} × 12)
