If at S.T.P. it occupies 22.4L volume, it is an ideal gas.

  • Ideal gas law, PV=nRT

  • Here, n=2/2=1 mole,

T=27+273=300K,

R=0.0820L atm mol −¹ K −¹ ,

P=4 atm

V= 1×0.0820×300/4

=6.15L
