Answer :

Mass of H₂ gas = 4g

Pressure = 1 atm

Temperature = 300K

We have to find volume of H₂ gas.

Ideal gas equation :

  • PV = nRT

P denotes pressure

V denotes volume

n denotes no. of moles

R denotes gas constant

T denotes temperature

First of all we need to find moles of hydrogen gas. We know that, no. of moles is defined as the ratio of weight of substance to the molecular weight.

  • Molar mass of H₂ = 2 g/mol

➙ n = w/(Mw)

➙ n = 4/2

n = 2

Calculation of volume :

⭆ PV = nRT

⭆ 1 × V = 2(0.082)(300)

⭆ V = 300/6

V = 50L

Cheers!
