Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the cuboid = Edge of the first cube + Edge of the second cube

=10+10=20 cm

∴ Surface of the cuboid

=2(20 x 10 + 10 x 10 + 10 x 20)

=2(200+100+200)

=2 x 500

=1000 sq cm.

Answer :-

The volume of cuboid obtained when two solid cubes of side 10cm are kept side by side is 2000cm³.

Step-by-step Explanation

To Find :-

  • The volume of new cuboid formed.

Solution :-

Given that,

  • One cube = 10cm

According the question,

When two cubes of 10cm are joined together or side by side, there will be a change in it's shape.

It will change it's shape from cube to cuboid. And also sides will change.

Refer the attachment.

Length = 10cm + 10cm = 20cm

Breadth = 10cm [same as it is]

Height = 10cm [same as it is].

Now, By the problem.

As we know that,

Volume of cuboid = lbh cubic units,

Where,

l = length,

b = breadth and

h = height.

Therefore,

→ lbh

→ l × b × h

→ 20cm × 10cm × 10cm

→ [20 × 10 × 10]cm³

→ 2000cm³

Hence, The volume of cuboid is 2000cm³.
