Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the cuboid = Edge of the first cube + Edge of the second cube

=10+10=20 cm

∴ Surface of the cuboid

=2(20 x 10 + 10 x 10 + 10 x 20)

=2(200+100+200)

=2 x 500

=1000 sq cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Candidates should note that in such type of questions where two cubes of equal edges are kept close to each other only the length of the cuboid so form increases and breadth and height of the cuboid remain same as that of the cube

∴ Length of the cuboid = Edge of the first cube + Edge of the second cube

=10+10=20 cm

∴ Surface of the cuboid

=2(20 x 10 + 10 x 10 + 10 x 20)

=2(200+100+200)

=2 x 500

=1000 sq cm.
