Using De - broglie wavelength ,
wavelength = h/mv
Here, m = mass of oxygen molecule,
molar mass of oxygen = 32g/mol
so, mass of one molecule = 32/6.023 × 10²³ = 5.31 × 10⁻²³ g
m = 5.31 × 10⁻²⁶ Kg
v = 660 m/s
∴ wavelength = 6.626 × 10⁻³⁴/(5.31 × 10⁻²⁶ × 660 )
= 6.626 × 10⁻⁸/(5.31 × 660)
= 0.00189 × 10⁻⁸ m
= 18.9 pm
Hence, wavelength of oxygen molecule = 18.9 pm
wavelength = h/mv
Here, m = mass of oxygen molecule,
molar mass of oxygen = 32g/mol
so, mass of one molecule = 32/6.023 × 10²³ = 5.31 × 10⁻²³ g
m = 5.31 × 10⁻²⁶ Kg
v = 660 m/s
∴ wavelength = 6.626 × 10⁻³⁴/(5.31 × 10⁻²⁶ × 660 )
= 6.626 × 10⁻⁸/(5.31 × 660)
= 0.00189 × 10⁻⁸ m
= 18.9 pm
Hence, wavelength of oxygen molecule = 18.9 pm
