The width of the circular path = 2 cm

Given:

The inner diameter and outer diameter of a circular race track are 10cm and 14cm.  

To find:

What will be the width of the circular race track  

Solution:

Formula used:

The formula for the width of the circular path is given by

Width of the circular path = [ R - r ]

Where, R - Outer radius and r = Inner radius  

Given that Inner diameter = 10 cm

=>  inner radius of the circular path = 10/5 = 5 cm

The out diameter = 14 cm

=>  outer radius of the circular path = 14/2 = 7 cm

The width of the circular path = 7 cm - 5 cm = 2 cm

Therefore,

The Width of the circular path = 2 cm
