work \: done \\  =  - p(v2 - v1) \\  =  - 1  \times( 50 - 15) \\ 35 \times  - 1 =  - 35l \: atm

geetatalikoti143: It's wrong it should be -718 cal
Anonymous: it in calories
Anonymous: i have found it in litre atm

Answer:Work done by the gas 35 kilo joules.

Explanation;

A gas is expanding isothermally on constant pressure of  1 atm.

Initial volume = 15 L=V_1

Final volume = 50 L=V_2

Work done by the gas :

w=-p_{opp}(V_2-V_1)=1 atm\times (50 L- 15 L)= 1 atm \times 35 L=-35 kJ

Work done by the gas 35 kilo joules.
