Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of cube = a³ = 8cm³

a' = 2 cm

Volume of 8 such cube = 8*8 = 64cm³

now a³ = 64cm³

so new, a = 4cm

so total surface area of a cube formed by joining 8 small cube = 6a² = 6(4)² = 6*16

= 96cm²

volume = a3

8 = a3

a = 2cm

side = 2cm

volume of such 8 cubes

8×8=64 cm3

Side = 4 cm

SA of the larger cube

SA= 6a2

= 6×4×4 = 96 cm2
