If a light beam passes through a true solution, it will not be dispersed because the particles are too small to scatter light. But in a suspension however, the particles are big enough to disperse light. This effect is known as Tyndall Effect.

so here is your answer. ...

when a beam of light pass through a true solution we can observe that the dissolved particles are too small to deflect light ,however the particles in suspension are large so they deflect light and this observation also called Tyndall effect (scattering of visible light by suspension particles)

hope it will help you...
