carbon is a atom that has 4 electrons in their octet and needs 4 more electrons to become stable
as the carbon cannt lose electrons becoz the nuclus hold these electrons by a force called electrostatic force of attraction supose if 1 electron is lost then the same force will act on the remaining 3 electrons then if u have to get another electron then u have to need more energy so that the reason it doesnot lose or gain electron
the only 1 way is to share electrons that is to form covelent bond
thnx dude
