These days companies rely on huge amount of collected customer data, to run their services, design their products and ultimately maximise their profits.

Customer data or Customer information consists mainly of their demographics such as age, gender, region etc., which are either collected through separate questionnaires or from end Point-Of-Sale machines.

This vast amount of data collected is then analysed by experts and results are arrived at, which are used in redesigning products and services to meet customer needs better and to reduce company costs.
