mass
a.It is a measure of the quantity of matter contained in the body at rest.
b.it is a scalar quantity.
c.its SI unit is kg.
d.it is measured by physical balance.
d.it is constant for anybody and does not
change with the change in place .
weight
a.it is the force with which the earth attract the body.
b.it is a vector quantity.
c.its SI unit is Newton
d.it is measured by spring balance which is calibrated to read in Newton
e.it is not constant for a body but varies from place to place due to change in the value.
the mass will be same but weight will be different.
