If 50 percent of glucose solution is injected into the vein then it will try to restore the normal blood glucose level in the diabetic patient. It is most often used in the treatment of hypoglycemia.  

If it is injected in the normal patient whose blood glucose level is normal then it will lead to hyperglycemia that will ultimately lead to increase blood pressure and stroke or kidney failure.
