If a bar magnet is put inside a current carrying solenoid, it behaves as an electromagnet
Electromagnet will have its magnetic property only when current is allowed to pass through the solenoid

theAM: But electromagnet will also be formed if an iron core is used instead of a magnet.... What's the difference?
