In the modern electronic Bells the electromagnetism property is used as the main working principle.

The hammer of the bell oscillates due to the constant activity and inactivity sequence of the internal electromagnet.

If we use permanent magnets instead,the hammer will be attached with the bell surface and no sound will be produced.
