Chloroplast isfound in green plants cells as plastid that constitutes chlorophyll and through which photosynthesis takes place. In the process of photosynthesis sunlight is absorbed by the chloroplasts to make sugar.

Therefore, if chloroplast is taken out of the cell, the green plant will not be able to carry out the process of photosynthesis which means the plant will die.
