what will happen if a raincoat is made up of cotton fabric

Raincoat is made keeping in view that the rain should be repelled, but not absorbing.Plastic does not absorb water but cotton absorbs water,so cotton is not used to make a raincoat.

plastic don't absorb water and repel it but cotton absorbs the water and will make the person wet.
if a raincoat is made of cotton fabric then the person will become wet therefore raincoats r made of blend of 2 things....
