What will happen if ac is placed at bottom

Air Conditioner is usually placed at the top position in one of the walls of the room because of the following reason :

• Air from the air conditioner is cold.

• Cold air is much more heavier as compared to do hot air and hence tends to gravity downwards.

• Whereas hot air being lighter goes upwards.

• This hot air after going up again become cool and hence become saviour and again comes down.

• Hence convection currents are set up inside the room which leads to faster cooling.

Now , when ACs are fitted in the lower part of the room, the convection currents do not set up properly and as a result of which the room doesn't become cold very effectively.
