So suppose all the forests in the world disappeared,what would happen?

Well for starters the atmosphere would get depleted in oxygen and enriched in carbon dioxideThe habitat and nutrition source of herbivores will be destroyedHerbivores dying due to starvation will lead to the ultimate death of carnivoresA lot of the soil would get washed away into the sea without the tree roots holding itOur major source of wood will be destroyed(which is least of our worries)Humans being the smartest will be the last to perish as they would find a way to survive but not for long. They would get extinct too.Increase in carbon dioxide levels will lead to global warmingGlobal warming would lead to melting of glaciers and rise in the mean sea level all across the globeIt would lead to 99.9% of the species to get extinct but not all of it. Some anaerobic micro-organisms would survive and then adapt according to the conditionsThe saddest part though……the Earth would no longer be the Blue-Green planet that we know today
