If amniotic sac formation does not take place then...

1. The foetus may not be protected from the mechanical shocks

2. There will be no formation of the amnion or amniotic fluid

Amniotic sac is a protection cavity that protects baby from mechanical shocks as well other bumps. But if amniotic sac will not develop, there will not be amniotic fluid and protection to baby.

Amniotic sac contains a fluids called amniotic fluid that is important and play a major role in the development of a baby. If there is no amniotic fluid, i believe there will be a lot of pregnancy related complications.
