What will happen if an animal cell is put in:-

2. Hypotonic solution

Explanation:

1) If you place an animal cell in a hypertonic solution, the cell shrinks, because it loses water ( water moves from a higher concentration inside the cell to a lower concentration outside ).

2) An animal cell that is placed in a hypotonic solution will rapidly gain water, and will swell up

3) when an animal cell is placed in an isotonic solution, water will neither flow out nor in. No osmosis occurs. So nothing will happen to the animal cell......
