If there are no platelets in blood then the blood would not able to clot. a clot is formed because of platelets. if any injury occurs blood will continuously flow. huge loss of blood ultimately causes death....

Without Platelets in the blood, in the event of an injury, one would bleed to death as there is no mechanism to arrest the bleeding.
Platelets are small cell fragments without nucleus, disc-shaped and without colour, found in large numbers in the blood. They are also known as Thrombocytes.
Their main function is to prevent bleeding by helping to form a clot at the site of injury (coagulation) and fix the damage.
The normal platelet count in humans, per microlitre of blood is 150,000 to 350,000.
