What will happen if blood rich in oxygen and blood rich in carbondioxide mix with each other? How can this be avoided

If blood rich in O and blood rich in CO2 mixed together then we find the following traits :

1. Blood will lack thr oxyen rich pigments.

2. Warm blooded animals like human can't be able to \textbf{maintain temperature }if this gets happens.

This is avoided in humans by providing separate chambers with walls, in heart.
