What will happen if boiled raisins are kept in hypotonic solution? ​

Theoretically in hypotonic solutions, water will move into the raisin by osmosis 

Also theoretically in hypertonic solution, water should leave the raisin and move into the solution by osmosis; however in reality this is most likely not going to happen, because raisins are not living cells. 

To clarify things - hypertonic means a greater solute than solvent, e.g. if your solute was salt and solvent was water, hypertonic means greater salt than water. 

hypotonic- this is just the opposite, less solute and more solvent, e.g. less salt more water.

When raisins are kept under water the the concentration of water in surrounding is more than that of raisins as they are dry so water will act as hypotonic solution and water will go inside raisins as a result raisin will sweel up
