what will happen if cells do not have the ability of permeability?

if cells do not have the ability of permeability then it would die as no gaseous exchange would be there..it won't be able to breathe nor would get the food or nutrients supply.

If cell have not ability of permeability then water and other nutritive activities will not complete in the cell.
