If we put the rasins in water it will swell because it will gain water ....If you put it in any concentrated solution it will shrink (concentrated salt water)

If dry raisins are kept in a plain water they will swell due to the absorption of water and the cell will be turgid.
If the raisins are placed in a salt solution they will shrink and become flacid or plasmolysed due to the process of osmosis where the salt solution is the hypotonic solution and the walls of raisins are the semi permeable membrame.
