What will happen if earth stop rotating about its axis

if this will happen, on one side of earth there will always be day, while on the other there will be total darkness......and all the thing on earth also rotates with the earth, and if earth stops rotating, all the thing will be displaced, including the water in the oceans and air will move at such a great speed .......... the time when earth will stop rotating, all the things will be destroyed...please mark it branliest if possible please please please it would be great help
