Potassium permanganate acts as a reactant for ethanoic acid. If we keep adding potassium permanganate, ut would disappear as it would be utilized by ethanoic acid. After a point of addition, the excess potassium permanganate would remain in ethanoic acid and it would remain pink or purple in colour
