What will happen if grease is applied over the upper and lower part of leaves

if the grease is applied over the upper and lower parts of the leaves then the stomata cant exchange the gases and it cant take carbon dioxide in coz the nose of the leaf(stomata) is blocked by the grease.so the processes- respiration,transpiration and photosynthesis cant be done and at last the plant dies.
