What will happen if I connect the output cord of a powerbank to its input charging port?

Usually a Power bank will short circuit and can get damaged. However modern power banks come with all sorts of protection, one of which is for this.
It will create a rather low powered space heater. Ie, the bank charges itself, slowly wasting electricity due to some inefficient parts.
