If we kill all the organisms in one trophic level, it will cause too much damage to the environment. For example, if we kill all the lions in a forest, then all the food chains in which lion operates will be disrupted. Lion kill and eat herbivorous animals and keep their population under control.. If all the lions are killed , then the population of herbivorous animals will increase. These herbivorous animals will eat up all the vegetation of the forest which will ultimately turn into a desert.
