If pollen grain of a plant lands on the stigma of another plant of different species.......

In that case there won't be any fertilization...

As far as I know, there's a coating on the pollen grain which is recognized by the stigma... If it is of the same species as that of the stigma then only fertilization will occur... And if the pollen is of different species, there won't be any fertilization!!
