Blowpipe is mainly a metal made instrument which is used to blow air at a specific direction in order to control the air input in a flaming area.
The nozzle of the blowpipe is directly stays in the contact of hot flames for significant amount of time but we should be careful about the overheating because the overheating can cause a collapse (as the metal will melted due to excessive heat) in the metal blowpipe nozzle which will obstruct the air output and that blowpipe will be no longer usable.
