If the cells in a torch are arranged as shown in the following figure,then the bulb of the torch will not glow.

• There are two terminals of the bulb.

• One terminal should be connected to the negative terminal of the battery and another terminal should bee connected to the positive terminal of the battery.

• If we connect two terminals of the with same terminal of the battery then the bulb will not glow.

• Same thing happened in this situation also,the two terminals of the bulb are connected to the negative terminals of the batteries and that's why the bulb will not glow.
