What will happen if the diaphragm becomes immobile?

breathing will be affected in people mostly in male since major part of respiration is carried  out  by the movable property of diaphragm in males  thoracic cavity will not be able to expand to the fullest this leads to less exchange of gases with the blood . ultimately it results in brain dead since insufficient oxygen is transported to brain
