What will happen if the Earth stops rotating?

if the Earth stops rotating, day and night would never happen. if it is daytime when the Earth stops it would remain the same forever. the area facing the sun would get too hot, and the other area would freeze. tides will not happen

There are two reasons for, what will happen if the earth stops rotating:
1. If the Earth stops rotating, day and night would never happen. If it is daytime when the Earth stops it would remain the same forever. The side facing towards the sun would get too hot due to the solar energy, and the other side would freeze due to lack of solar energy.
2. Everything on the earth will blown away. Because the earth is rotating and everything is also rotating with the earth due to inertia. So if the earth stops the things on the early motion. And we all will die.....
