What will happen if the fuse is made of thick copper wires

Heya!
A fuse is a thin wire made of a material which has a low melting point so that it melts and breaks off the circuit if the current exceeds its flow.
A copper wire cannot be used as a fuse wire because it has a high melting point.
It will not break easily when a high electric current passes through it
Which may lead to the damage of electrical appliances and short circuits.
Hope it helps!!

hi friend
here's your answer looking for
to answer this question let's first understand what is fuse and its function?
Fuse :- it is electrical safety device that helps to cut off the electricity supply when there is a few of high voltage . it is consist of the low melting point wire in it.
Function :- when there is a flow high voltage then the electricity reduce the heating effect.
and when the heating effect is increased due to the high voltage, then the wire get heated and later start melting. and this melting result as the cutoff of electricity supply.
now as you asking what will be happen if the fuse is made up of a thick copper wire?
so your answer is:--
if the fuse is made up of a thick copper wire then imagine the following situation.
is there is a high voltage of electricity is supplied then that copper wire will not melt because it has a high melting point. and because of that high voltage our electrical appliances may get damage.
so the must be made up low melting wire not the high melting point wire.
hope you are satisfied with my answer
